"Welcome to Lesson 2, i hope you all remembered to bring an item from home for our Reuse Swap activity. If you have forgot, i have bought some spares from my home with me.
Today's lesson is based on ways we can protect our natural resources. We will be looking over our notes from lesson 1 on the 3 R's, creating a short video summarising what they are and then completing a quiz to test you on what you remember!
Please arrange yourself according to the groups from lesson 1. Have fun Year 4's"
1. Reuse swap activity
Steps:
Place items at front of classroom and draw a number from the hat
This number will represent what turn you can pick up a new item from the pile.
Once all students on your table have a number, have a discussion based on the reasons for why it is important to protect our environment.
Consider:
From lesson 1, why is it important to protect the natural resources?
Does anyone remember the three ways we can minimise our waste?
How has this activity of reusing old unwanted items contributed to the world?
